While the focus of SAHAS is on reproductive health of women, our activities are geared towards overall empowerment of women in both urban and rural settings, leading to better health outcomes. We work on developing the leadership capacities of women for addressing issues of sexuality, violence against women, gender and human rights.
The major activities undertaken include knowledge building and skills development, legal and rights education, gender equity, formation of self help groups, linkages and economic opportunities. SAHAS strives to improve womens access to health care by linking with the existing primary and secondary referral services of the government.
